Tiger Beer Singapore will host a meet and greet session with Edgar Davids for fans at the Clarke Quay Central Fountain this Thursday, 31 May 2012. To be held from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, the event will provide fans with the chance to get up close and personal with the renowned Dutch football star, who is the Ambassador for Tiger Street Football which returns to the streets of Singapore on 01 to 02 June.
Davids, who has played for top European clubs such as AC Milan, Juventus, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur, is strongly associated to street football, serving as a patron for the game and its varieties all over the globe.
The event will be held in the unique oval, caged, hard-court Tiger Street Football pitch and will include an autograph session for fans. The first 100 fans to arrive will also receive a limited edition Tiger Street Football T-shirt.
The second edition of Tiger Street Football will kick off with the National Finals on Friday, 01 June. It will feature 32 local teams battling it out for cash prizes of USD3,000 and USD1,500 awarded to the first and second placed teams respectively. The champions of Friday’s competition will automatically qualify for the Grand Finals to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 28 September.
The top two local teams from the National Finals will also get the opportunity to play against international teams from Argentina, Brazil, Malaysia and Thailand on Saturday, 02 June, for a chance to win additional cash prizes.
