aXrosstheline.com was at the Malaysia leg of the EPL Masters Malaysia Cup a week back and witnessed some of football’s greatest names in action, including Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman, Andrew Cole, Frank Leboeuf and Zainal Abidin Hassan and many more.
The 5 a-side tournament saw Liverpool, Manchester United, EPL All Stars and also Malaysia All Stars taking part. The teams played in a round robin format where each team plays each other once before the top two played for the championship.
The final saw Manchester United taking on traditional rivals Liverpool, the fierce 
rivalry between the two English teams was still evident on the court. Liverpool scored a last minute equalizer in the finals to level the score at 4-4, sending the game into penalties which saw the red side of Merseyside winning the tournament. Captain of the team Robbie Fowler also bagged the Man of the Match and the Top Scorer after breaking the tournament scoring record for any individual player.
Good news for our readers in Singapore, the tournament will be coming to the Lion City later this year. aXrosstheline.com have spoken to the event organizer Football Focus Asia whose spokesman have promised that the Singapore leg will be filled with goals and entertainment. This is definitely an event not to be missed. Details of the Singapore leg of the tournament will be announced shortly.
